Labor and employment law is an ever evolving field; this CLE presented by Glenn Franklin and Jasmine Patel offered the latest updates and development in both local and federal laws, including information on independent contractors, paid sick leave laws in New York City, and recent changes to the New York State unemployment insurance law.

Lecturer Bios:

Glenn J. Franklin, Esq.

Glenn J. Franklin is a member and managing partner of Franklin, Gringer & Cohen, P.C. [franklingringer.com] He has been representing employers in their labor and employment law matters since his graduation from Hofstra School of Law in 1977. He has had extensive experience in collective bargaining, having successfully negotiated hundreds of contracts on behalf of management. The secrets to Glenn’s success as a negotiator are his perseverance, his communication skills, and the credibility that he has established with his counterparts across the negotiating table. Glenn also handles cases with governmental agencies, including the United States and New York State Departments of Labor concerning overtime and other wage disputes, as well as with OSHA regarding safety issues.

Jasmine Y. Patel is an associate at Franklin, Gringer & Cohen, P.C. Jasmine primarily focuses her practice on labor and employment law.
