Michael S. Mosscrop is the partner in charge for all general civil litigation matters for the firm.
Since his admission to the New York Bar in 2004, his practice has focused on all areas of personal injury litigation, including matters involving medical and dental malpractice, wrongful death, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, slip/trip and falls, work accidents, construction accidents, elevator/escalator accidents, products liability, pharmaceutical negligence and various other general negligence matters. He has represented countless victims of personal injury throughout New York State on the trial and appellate level and has successfully recovered millions of dollars for his clients.
Michael also has extensive experience handling construction/lien foreclosure litigation on behalf of contractors and homeowners, collection and judgment enforcement proceedings, appeals, insurance coverage matters and litigation, estate administrations and commercial litigation matters involving all types of business and contractual transactions and disputes.
Michael also handles labor and employment litigation, including matters involving restrictive covenants (such as non-competition and non-solicitation agreements), trade secrets, confidential information, compensation, unemployment benefits, prevailing wage, workers’ compensation, harassment, discrimination and defamation.
Michael further dedicates his time to charitable work. He currently serves on the board of the Long Island Elite, a not-for-profit corporation composed of Long Island professionals who support local charities. He also proudly serves on the board of the Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities (“ACLD”) Foundation, which supports and raises funds for the exclusive benefit of the ACLD.
Michael graduated from Binghamton University in 2000 with a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Law, and Hofstra Law School in 2003 where he received The Judge Edward Hart Memorial Scholarship for Excellence in Trial Advocacy and The Citation of Excellence in Advocacy and Litigation Courses.
Michael is also a member of the New York State Trial Lawyer’s Association, New York State Bar Association, Nassau County Bar Association and American Bar Association. He is also admitted to practice law in the United States District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
