Elana T. Henderson is a partner at Franklin, Gringer & Cohen, P.C. and represents companies, boards, and their executives in all aspects of daily operations and business and employment disputes, serving both as outside general counsel and litigation counsel.
Elana advises her clients on labor and employment, commercial, and contractual issues, while also counseling her clients on risk management strategies. She keeps her clients updated on the ever-changing landscape of employment law at the agency, city, state and federal level and ensures that all client handbooks and written policies are up-to-date.
As an experienced litigator, Elana has represented companies of various sizes in complex, multi-party litigations, at trial, and at arbitrations, mediations, and other dispute resolution proceedings. She has over a decade of experience litigating and resolving business torts, violations of the Labor Law, contractual disputes (including various sized collections matters) and real estate-adjacent matters. Elana has long represented Co-Op and Condo boards, as well as individual shareholders and tenants in contractual and other disputes.
Elana graduated from The University of Michigan with a degree in Communications and Benjamin N. Cardozo Law School of Law with a concentration in General Litigation. While in law school, she was a recipient of the Dean’s Merit Scholarship, an articles editor for the Cardozo Public Law, Policy and Ethics Journal, and a member of the Cardozo Negotiation Strategy & Alternative Dispute Resolution Competition Team. She is admitted to practice law in the States of New York and New Jersey, as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
